An army document leaked today suggests that, as a cost cutting measure, cavalry regiments of the British Army are to be merged with the infantry to form a new "combat capability directorate". When I was kid my father had a model of the English Tea Clipper named Thermoplyae, and as I don't recall us sinking it I guess he still has. I didn't expect to be taking pride in creating HMS Thermoplyae shields back then. Funny how things turn out.
