Princess Louise’s Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders were formed in 1881. In 1920 the name of the regiment was changed to Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders (Princess Louise’s). In 2006 the Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders became the 5th Battalion of the Royal Regiment of Scotland which is the current regiment.
