Duke of Edinburgh's Royal Regiment
The Duke of Edinburgh's Royal Regiment (Berkshire and Wiltshire) was form in 1959 on the amalgamation of the Royal Berkshire Regiment (Princess Charlotte of Wales's) and the Wiltshire Regiment (Duke of Edinburgh's). In 1994 the Duke of Edinburgh's Royal Regiment amalgamated with the Gloucestershire Regiment to form the Royal Gloucestershire, Berkshire and Wiltshire Regiment. In 2005 the regiment was re-badged as the Royal Gloucestershire, Berkshire and Wiltshire Light Infantry and in 2007 this became part of The Rifles which is the current regiment in the British Army.
