Gloucestershire Regiment
The Gloucestershire Regiment was formed in 1881 on the amalgamation of the the 28th (North Gloucestershire) Regiment and the 61st (South Gloucestershire) Regiment. In 1994 the Gloucestershire Regiment amalgamated with the Duke of Edinburgh's Royal Regiment (Berkshire and Wiltshire) to form the Royal Gloucestershire, Berkshire and Wiltshire Regiment. In 2005 the RGBW's became the Royal Gloucestershire, Berkshire and Wiltshire Light Infantry. In 2007 this regiment became part of The Rifles, which is the current regiment.
