The Lancashire Fusiliers was formed in 1881 on the renamin gof the 20th (East Devonshire Regiment). In 1968 it was amalgamated with the Royal Northumberland Fusiliers, the Royal Warwickshire Fusiliers and the Royal Fusiliers (City of London Regiment) to form the Royal Regiment of Fusiliers, which is a current regiment of the British Army.
