Loyal Regiment
The Loyal Regiment (North Lancashire) came into being in 1921 on the renaming of the Loyal North Lancashire Regiment. In 1970 it was amalgamated with the Lancashire Regiment (Prince of Wales's Volunteers) to form the Queen's Lancashire Regiment. In 2006 the Queen's Lancashire Regiment was amalgamated with the King's Regiment and the King's Own Royal Border Regiment to form the Duke of Lancaster's Regiment (King's, Lancashire and Border) which is a current regiment of the British Army.
