North Staffordshire Regiment
The North Staffordshire Regiment came into being in 1920 on the renaming of the Prince of Wales's (North Staffordshire) regiment. In 1959 the North Staffordshire Regiment and the South Staffordshire Regiment were amalgamated to form the Staffordshire Regiment. In 2007 the Staffordshire Regiment became part of the Mercian Regiment which is a current regiment of the British Army.
