The Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire Light Infantry became the 1st Green Jackets (43rd and 52nd) in 1958. In 1966 the 1st Green Jackets became part of the Royal Green Jackets. In 2007 the Royal Green Jackets became part of the Rifles which is the current regiment of the British Army.
