Royal Irish Fusiliers
The Royal Irish Fusiliers (Princess Victoria's) could trace its history back to the raising of the 87th (Prince of Wales's Irish) and 89th Regiment of Foot in 1793. In 1968 the Royal Irish Fusiliers were amalgamated with the Royal Ulster Rifles and the Royal Inniskilling Fusiliers to form the Roya Irish Rangers. In 1992 the Royal Irish Rangers were amalgamated with the Ulster Defence Regiment to form the Royal Irish Regiment, which is the current regiment.
