Wiltshire Regiment
The Duke of Edinburgh's (Wiltshire Regiment) was formed in 1881 on the amalgamation of the 62nd (Wiltshire) and 99th (Duke of Edinburgh's) Regiments of Foot. In 1921 the regiment was renamed the Wiltshire Regiment (Duke of Edinburgh's). In 1959 the Wiltshire Regiment amalgamated with the Royal Berkshire Regiment to form the Royal Gloucestershire, Berkshire and Wiltshire Regiment. In 2005 the RGBW was retitled the Royal Gloucestershire, Berkshire and Wiltshire Light Infantry. In 2007 the became part of The Rifles, which is the current regiment.
