Holidays for Heroes/Sergeant Slingsby
Sergeant Slingsby and his Team of Bears work to raise funds and awareness for "Holidays4Heroes". Hols4H provides respite holidays for wounded personnel and their families, and in addition provides rapid-response welfare assistance until the main Service Charities can take over.

Museums and Memorials

Armed Forces Memorial Appeal
This is the website of the first national memorial dedicated to the men and women of the United Kingdom Armed Forces (Regular and Reserve) killed oduty or as a result of terrorist action since the Second World War.

British Cyprus Memorial
To mark the 50th anniversary of the ending of the Cyprus Emergency, The British Memorial is to be erected in Cyprus in the old British cemetery at Kyrenia, to be unveiled on Remembrance Day 2009. On it will be inscribed the names of the 371 British servicemen — 28 members of the Royal Navy and Royal Marines, 274 British Army, and 69 Royal Air Force — who died there on active service 1955-1959.

The Union Jack Club is a private members club in south east London for serving and ex-serving military personnel of Her Majesty's Armed Forces. It also welcomes military personnel of many countries, together with the emergency services such as police, fire and ambulance, including the UK civil service and their families to make use of its excellent facilities.
