Frequently Asked Questions
Q: How much do you charge for postage?
A: Postage is charged according to the packed weight of your order using Royal Mail
Packet rate (orders from UK) or Royal Mail Small Packet rate (Non-UK orders). If packing
items together would increase the risk of damage in transit your order will be despatched
in more than one package. All items are sent using Royal Mail Recorded Delivery or
International Signed For services. If you need a guaranteed service please contact us.
We do not charge a handling fee but each order is subject to a charge of 50 pence for packaging
materials. This is included in the shipping fee shown on the website. Orders consisting
entirely of fund raising items eg. Support Our Troops are sent postage free in the UK using
the Royal Mail Second Class service. No charge is made for packaging of these orders.
Q: Can my order be sent to an address other than my billing address.
A: As an anti-fraud measure NatWest Streamline do not permit the sending of orders to an
address other than the billing address for the card used.
Q: Do you paint model kits from any manufacturer?
A: Yes! Deb is happy to consider painting any military models. Prices start from £1 per mm.
The cost of painting kilts, standards and horses starts from £1.40 per mm. These prices are ex-VAT.
Deb usually has an ongoing list of painting work so please contact her before sending anything for
painting. All painting is undertaken by Debra Raymond personally.
Q: Can you provide me with items for a specific regiment or unit which are not on your website?
A: Possibly. Please let us know what you want and we will see what we can do. Military badges are
generally covered by Crown copyright. If not covered by our existing licence it may be necessary for
you to provide evidence that you have permission to use designs.
Q: Can you supply me with artwork of a regimental design for my own use?
A: No. Most regimental badges are subject to Crown copyright. Some are also trademarks.
Q: Can you supply me with a regimental flag or wreath for a funeral?
A: No. We would advise you to contact your local British Legion who may be able to help.
Q: Can you make a pin badge using a design not already stocked?
A: Possibly, but it depends how many you want and whether your design lends itself to production.
It is not economical to produce less than 300 badges at a time, although you can split these between
pin badges, tie bars and cufflinks.
Q: Can I have a figure made to my own exact specification?
A: This is not a service we can offer, mainly because of the cost and length of time it takes to
produce bespoke pieces.
Q: Do you sell original militaria or surplus clothing?
A: We can supply some restrike cap badges but have no plans to broaden our ranges into original
militaria or surplus clothing.
Q: Do you have a real shop?
A: No, but customers are welcome by prior appointment.
